Heralded as one of the 10 Most Anticipated Museums in the world by Smithsonian Magazine and one of the 10Best New Museums by USA TODAY 10Best Readers' Choice Awards, the Harriet Tubman Museum of New Jersey shares the inspiring story of our American hero Harriet Tubman and many lesser known heroes who supported her, the rich history of abolitionist activism in New Jersey, and the enduring legacy of the African American community in Cape May County and in New Jersey.

We look forward to celebrating our second anniversary and Juneteenth with you on Sunday, June 18!

Funding of the Museum's programming has been made possible in part by the City of Cape May, the New Jersey Historical Commission, the New Jersey Council on the Arts, the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs, the National Endowment for the Arts, the Cape May County Board of Commissioners through the Cape May County Department of Tourism, Public Information and Culture & Heritage, and our growing community of generous supporters.
