SECA Placemaking in the Park: Gardens, Gathering, and Community

and begin shaping a shared vision for a future community garden and outdoor gathering place. This multi-phase initiative aims to create a welcoming “outdoor living room” - a space where neighbours can grow food, host events, learn new skills, and connect with one another.

We’ll start with a stroll through the area, taking in examples of water-wise yards inspired by Xeriscaping and discussing current trends in Sustainable Landscaping. Along the way, we’ll reflect on what works, what inspires us, and how these ideas could shape our shared space.

Whether you’re an experienced gardener or simply curious about building a stronger, greener community, your ideas and perspectives are welcome.

MEETING SPOT: Evergreen Drive Park (aka Rainbow Park); Park adjacent to Evergreen Grove. Meet at North side of the park, on the pathway.
