Make friends with your body.About this Event
All levels and genders welcome. Join us for a 75-minute Yoga & Pilates class taught by our instructor, Willow.
*ASL-Friendly! Willow has learned to sign along with her teaching to accommodate Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students.
Everyone MUST be an active, willing participant and at least 18 years old. Please bring a valid photo ID for age verification. You will be required to enter an accurate date of birth upon registration.
All events have a 24-hour cancellation policy, so if you cancel less than 24 hours before the event, you forfeit your payment. Unless the event is cancelled, ALL EVENTBRITE FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE (even if you cancel your ticket more than 24 hours before class). Email us to transfer your ticket to another event to avoid paying the fee twice. For information about Eventbrite’s fees, see this page.
Financial Assistance:
- Tickets purchased online are $30, but we set aside a limited number of discounted tickets for those who need financial accommodations. Please email [email protected] to request these tickets and let us know what you can pay (we won't be offended).
- Students get $10 off a General Admission ticket. Email [email protected] for a discount code. You must present a valid student I.D. at the door for verification.
- We no longer reserve tickets for anyone paying in cash. If you’d like to pay with cash, please arrive early to see if we have available spots. If the event is sold out, you still might get in if someone else doesn’t show up. Cash tickets are $40 (exact change) at the door, and you will still be required to register via the Eventbrite app to sign our waiver and provide required information.
Naked! =
Mandatory, but we make accommodations for accessibility. For example, you may wear underwear to manage menstruation. Underwear is not required while menstruating, and it’s okay if tampon strings are visible. Additionally, participants may opt to use items such as underwear, binders, or prosthetics to manage trauma and/or gender dysphoria. These examples are not an exhaustive list, so if you need accommodation, just talk to us.
This approach aims to lower barriers to participation for those whose life experiences make it understandably more difficult to attend a nude event, in particular, gender minorities. Our goal in being Naked! is to practice self-compassion and body acceptance while experiencing bodies as they are, and this can be challenging for many people. The purpose of accommodations is not to avoid this challenge but to make classes accessible for folks who otherwise would not attend. Upholding our rules creates safer spaces both in and out of class, and we value everyone’s cooperation.
Logistics:
- PLEASE REVIEW OUR NEW MAT POLICY: Everyone MUST bring their own mat and props (and we recommend a towel). We do not provide mats, and we no longer permit the use of studio mats or props. If you do not bring a suitable yoga/exercise mat, you may be turned away from class. For safety and sanitary reasons, using a towel on the floor is not permitted. If you aren't sure what counts as a suitable mat, email us and we can help.
- Doors open a half hour prior to class start time.
- Everyone is expected to be on time to hear the rules (even if you've heard them before). The instructor will close the entrance and place a sign on the door at the start of class. After this point, no further entry will be permitted, NO EXCEPTIONS, and we don't refund latecomers. Please DO NOT KNOCK or disrupt class in an attempt to gain late entry.
STUDIO INFO:
DO NOT GOOGLE INNER ALCHEMY; FOLLOW THIS ADDRESS:
Inner Alchemy Sanctuary and Studio
3618 SW Alaska Street (entrance on 37th Ave SW)
Seattle, WA 98126
Map applications may list the address as the American Legion Post 160 of West Seattle. This is correct, and Inner Alchemy Sanctuary and Studio is located on the lower level of the building with an Inner Alchemy sign to the right of the door. The entrance is on 37th Ave SW, *not* SW Alaska St.
Please arrive early to find street parking.
Unfortunately, this studio is not wheelchair accessible. Accessibility is a top priority for us, and we continue to do our best to find spaces that can accommodate everyone.
COMMUNITY RULES:
Please read the rest of our Community Rules below, and visit our for more information.
Consent: All physical contact must be consensual. We’ll provide a system for silently opting-out of adjustments during class. If you opt-in to adjustments, the instructor will then ask for verbal consent before offering touch assistance. Know your boundaries! You can change your mind at any time, and anything less than an enthusiastic “yes” means “no.” Our consent policy applies to all situations, including physical contact that may seem appropriate in a clothed setting (e.g. hugs, moving through a crowd), so ask for permission before touching anyone before, during, and after class, even while clothed.
No Cruising: Please maintain the desexualized atmosphere of our classes. Nudity is not an invitation for personal advances. Don’t ask to meet up with people outside of class or make personal invitations to other events. If you'd like to publicize other events aligned with the NiM mission, speak to Willow directly. Also, please do not make comments about anyone’s body or appearance, including compliments that may seem benign (e.g. “your hair looks nice”). We’ll prioritize the experience of the recipient over the intention of a compliment, so err on the side of caution! This applies to live events and online platforms (e.g. Meetup, Patreon).
Be Respectful: We welcome all adults who abide by our rules and treat others with respect and kindness. Body-shaming or hateful comments of any kind will not be tolerated. Be aware of your gaze: it’s okay to look around if you get lost during the movement, but take care not to stare or focus intently on others.
Cell Phones: Cell phones are strictly prohibited while clothes are off, so please turn them OFF (not silent) and conceal them in your bag until the last person is clothed.
The Erection Question: Signs of arousal such as erections can be involuntary and not necessarily sexually inspired. If you have an erection during class, just ignore it and keep moving, or take a resting pose if you prefer. If you have an erection after class, please put on clothing before socializing with anyone. Any activities described as illicit, obscene, or sexual in nature are illegal and not permitted in our classes.
No Lingering: Following the conclusion of class, please exit the premises in a reasonable amount of time as directed by the instructor. Do not wait to be alone with an instructor or student after class.
Be Sober: Sobriety is mandatory. If you exhibit signs of intoxication, we may ask you to leave.
Mats/Props: Everyone MUST bring their own mat and props (and we recommend a towel). We do not provide mats, and we no longer permit the use of studio mats or props. If you do not bring a suitable yoga/exercise mat, you may be turned away from class. For safety and sanitary reasons, using a towel on the floor is not permitted.
If you experience or witness a rule violation, please notify your teacher ASAP to help us identify people involved; you will remain anonymous. While we prefer to be notified in person, you can also email us at [email protected]. The instructor reserves the right to ask anyone to leave for any reason, and Naked in Motion management reserves the right to revoke further class privileges.

- Nudity is mandatory, but we make accommodations for accessibility. For example, we recognize that people need different tools for managing menstruation. Having your period doesn’t necessitate wearing bottoms though; it’s okay if your tampon string shows, or you leak a bit on your mat & towel. Participants may opt to use items such as binders, bottoms, or prosthetics to manage trauma or gender dysphoria.
