Seasonal Tales is the latest exhibition by the Practicing Artists Network (PAN)The theme of the artworks for this exhibition is ‘Seasonal Tales’ and is a showcase of the latest works of members of the PAN artist group.
In considering the theme, the artists have developed a narrative that features works in all forms of media, including oils, acrylics, pastels and ink, through to sculptural works. The exhibition and media, reflects the creative diversity of the artists within the PAN artists’ network. Whilst the works all carry diverse narratives, they reflect a considered and creative response, by each individual artist, on the theme of ‘Seasonal Tales’. The theme reflects the changing of the seasons at the time of the exhibition, and also the changing seasons of our lives, including moving from the restrictive times of the pandemic to the freedoms of the present time.
It seems that since the pandemic our lives have become more turbulent and complex than ever before and, in this proposed exhibition, PAN artists pause and reflect upon the values of family, relationships and the environment, and the increased importance of these elements within our lives, as we move towards a more unconfined future. Seasonal Tales is a thoughtful and a physical experience, with the land and people within our orbit.
PAN is a locally based non-profit incorporated association committed to the visual arts in the Northern Rivers and provides an opportunity for artists to hold group exhibitions. We have successfully exhibited in the Roxy Gallery, Kyogle, Northern Rivers Community Gallery, Ballina and Lone Goat Gallery, Byron Bay in the recent past.
PAN also gives members the opportunity to participate in social events such as Life Drawing and Plein Air activities and offers the opportunity to participate in exhibitions and promote their art.
