About this Event
Harmonise with nature in this seasonal Qigong practice. Spring is associated with the wood element, the liver, new beginnings and creativity. Fire represents summer and, for this season, we focus on the heart, joy and connection. Using forms from nature that synchronise with the 5 seasons of the qigong calendar, we can tune into the natural rhythms of the environment and balance our own energy.
Using forms from nature that synchronise with the 5 seasons of the qigong calendar, we explore the ancient Chinese practice of qigong which brings together breathwork, flowing movements and meditation to create a dynamic practice to improve both mental and physical health.
Research shows that qigong calms the nervous system, improves digestion, mobility and balance, aids sleep, lowers blood pressure and much more. Our energy changes as the seasons change and this seasonal course helps us to align with the energy in the natural world around us, so that we can increase vitality and wellbeing.
This course is suitable for all abilities and fitness levels.
