In celebration of the 70th anniversary of Sir Roger Bannister’s sub-four minutes mile on 6th May 1954, the Museum of World Athletics (MOWA) is staging a pop-up exhibit for three-days (Sat 4 to Mon 6 May) at OUAC's track, Iffley Road, Oxford, England.
The historic display will feature running shoes, singlets and trophies donated to the MOWA by nineteen of the world’s greatest middle-distance runners from Sebastian Coe to Jake Wightman, from Diane Leather to Faith Kipyegon.
The display is open to the public on Saturday 4 May and Sunday 5 May. Access is FREE OF CHARGE.
During the 70th anniversary celebrations on Monday 6 May, only invited guests and those accredited for the Bannister Miles will be allowed entry.
