Understanding the Five Elements
Five Element Theory teaches that everything in nature—including the body, emotions, and energy—moves through five natural qualities: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water. Each element reflects a different way life grows, transforms, and maintains balance:
Wood – growth, movement, flexibility
Fire – vitality, joy, expression
Earth – grounding, nourishment, stability
Metal – clarity, boundaries, letting go
Water – rest, flow, restoration
In Qigong and Tai Chi, movements help balance these five energies inside the body so we feel healthier, calmer, stronger, and more harmonious — just like nature when all elements are in balance.
Each class includes:
