About this Event
According to Ayurveda, late Winter through Spring are known as “Kapha” season because they are marked by the same qualities that describe Kapha Dosha: dampness and moisture from melting ice, snow or rain; heaviness and stagnancy in the air; cold and cool temperatures, and dullness.
When healthy, Kapha dosha governs our capacity to experience loyalty, steadiness, consistency, strength, support, calm and contentness. In excess, it can cause things like congestion, dullness, neediness, weight gain, and interness.
During the winter months, the body tends to hold excess weight and congestion, while digestion can fall out of balance. Learn to rebalance your this Dosha after months of nourishingment, by learning supportive Ayurvedic cleansing and preparing to feel renewed and ready to blossom into the new year!
This class will include learning how to prepare a Kitchari recipe that you may use for your spring cleanse.
Dinner will be provided.
