Season Songbirds is a gig series designed to showcase and support female creatives from Western Australia. Inspired by the Nashville Bluebird Café “songwriters in the round” format, each event features four female singer-songwriters sharing original songs and the stories behind them in an intimate, acoustic, seated setting.
Each event also features one female visual artist, who designs the event poster and is highlighted during the gig.
The series has a strong community focus. Across all events, attendees are encouraged to donate to a selected women-focused organisation, and 10% of proceeds from each gig are allocated to this fundraising effort.
Season Songbirds - Autumn edition:
Savanah Solomon - a folk artist whose songwriting is rooted in story, place and emotional truth.
Magdalena Muse - a mystic singer-songwriter creating music as sacred storytelling — rooted in sisterhood, spirit, and ancestral memory.
Autumn Sage - Originally from Melbourne, Autumn Sage is a Perth-based singer-songwriter who writes alternative indie folk music.
Tanya Hemi - was born and raised in Aotearoa New Zealand. Based in Perth now Tanya Hemi is an award winning West Australian artist - winner of the Blues/Roots category for the 2025 WAM Song of the Year.

Artist in focus: Lixxi began selling paintings and upcycled art at markets in 2008, and has exhibited works and sold paintings on and off ever since. Her style, which verges on illustration, is very much of the naive/folk persuasion, often merging her love of nature with melancholy and wistful characters, sometimes with a little bit of punk attitude thrown in.
