About this Event
Gus Fisher Gallery presents Seashells and razorblades, a screening of iconic Surrealist films from the 1920s to 1940s. The screening will feature a curated suite of excerpts from seminal contributions to cinema, including Luis Buñuel and Salvador Dali’s Un Chien Andalou (1929), Germaine Dulac’s The Seashell and The Clergyman (1928) and works by Rene Clair, Man Ray and Maya Deren. Through a glimpse into the illustrious French Surrealist movement and its legacies, this event offers a rare opportunity to revisit these famous works again.
