From this meeting point of the 'burbs and the sea, of scrub and smokestacks come songs of struggle for environmental justice and paeans to the power of soul-work. Blending genres into a folk-flavoured smoothie they call "eco-rock" the Roof Rats and their Seal Prince will take you deep into the story realm, to groove and heal and celebrate together.
SP+RR are on tour this summer to support the release of their new single the 'Barwon River Song,' a joyous expression of the quest for love in commitment... 'if love is gonna find a way, let it be in what we make, two snake birds twist t'ward the sky.'
*Thea Lang* is a writer of songs about relational experiences with self, other, community, place and spirit. She is inspired by patterns in the more-than-human world, by traditions of storytelling in folk music, and by the power of song to ground and enliven.
