This discussion-based exercise will train on and evaluate the new Skilled Nursing Facility Memorandum of Understanding.
Who Should Attend: Skilled Nursing Facility representatives from Emergency Management, Supply Chain, and/or Leadership; ambulance providers
Exercise Objectives:
- Provide an educational overview of the newly developed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Skilled Nursing Facilities in Santa Clara County with the goal for facilities to sign by 1/31/2026.
- Discuss roles, responsibilities, and procedures in place for skilled nursing facilities to respond to emergency supply chain shortages.
- Practice utilizing the “Allied Health Status Report Short Form” to provide the Public Health Department Operations Center with facility situational awareness and resource availability.
- Determine supply chain vulnerabilities and evaluate use of the MOU for skilled nursing facilities and ambulance providers to share resources, such as medical supplies, personnel, and equipment during emergencies.
