Come craft your own Squeek creatures is this laid-back polymer clay workshop.
In this workshop you will learn how to create and decorate your own polymer clay imaginary creatures! Craft up to 3 creations, depending on size and complexity. Flip will share his process for modeling clay and how to approach sculpting in a free-of-expectations way.
Our creations will be baked in a toaster oven on sight. While our creations are baking we will make their very own birth certificates! Once you name your creature, you get a wish - as every Squeek has a bit of magic! There will also be time to browse the Squeek Gallery Show, which will be on display during the time of this workshop.
If you aren’t familiar with polymer clay, it is an accessible, low-mess medium that makes sculpting possible in your own home. It has been a material that has allowed me to tap into my creativity in new ways - and I hope it will do the same for you!
Artist Bio: Flip Sarta is a local sculptor who has been working in polymer clay since 2024. In that time he has crafted over 250 Squeek sculptures and has a knack for making charmingly odd creatures. He has an anti-perfectionist approach to his work and has used polymer clay to break through artist block and see creativity in a new light.
