About this Event
Join us for another installation day at Sculpture Fields, taking place Friday, March 6 at noon, with the unveiling of Entrance to a Garden by Dennis Oppenheim. We invite you to gather with us in the park for this special moment as the work enters the landscape.
Dennis Oppenheim was a pioneering artist whose practice expanded the boundaries of sculpture through experimentation with form, scale, and movement. Throughout his career, he explored how artworks could be experienced through the body and the built environment, encouraging viewers to move through and around his works rather than simply observe them. Entrance to a Garden reflects this approach by creating a passage within the park that invites transition, pause, and reflection as visitors step from open space into a more contained environment.
We are honored to welcome this important work by Oppenheim to Sculpture Fields and to share it with our community as part of the park’s evolving collection.
