JOIN US for the 21st Annual Cottesloe Exhibition 6–23 March 2026
Sculpture by the Sea returns to Cottesloe Beach for its 21st annual exhibition from 6 - 23 March 2026, once again transforming Perth’s iconic coastline into a spectacular open-air sculpture park.
As one of Australia’s largest free public events, the exhibition attracts more than 250,000 local, interstate and international visitors each year. Set against the turquoise waters and white sands of Cottesloe, the exhibition stretches from the sea wall along the beach towards North Cottesloe and across the surrounding grassed areas, creating a breathtaking coastal arts trail.
Visitors can prepare for a memorable day of sand, sun and sculpture — finishing with one of Cottesloe’s famous sunsets.
In 2026, more than 70 artists from Australia and around the world will exhibit their work, including 11 from Japan, 4 from Denmark and more than 30 from Western Australia. Exhibiting artists are selected by Sculpture by the Sea’s National Artistic Advisory Committee. Western Australian and Australian sculptors will be joined by leading international artists, presenting outstanding contemporary sculpture in one of the world’s most striking exhibition sites.
Since the first exhibition was staged on Cottesloe Beach in 2005 with just 35 sculptures, Sculpture by the Sea has grown into a globally recognised cultural event, with hundreds of artists from over 40 countries exhibiting more than 1,000 sculptures along the Cottesloe coastline.
