Beginner Friendly
Taught by Emily Loughlin
In this workshop, students will draw inspiration from a variety of natural forms to create organic-looking sculptures and lidded boxes using different hand-building and surface design techniques.
Participants will explore how textures, rhythms, and shapes found in nature can influence their creations. Through demonstrations, students will learn techniques such as coil building and pinch pots, as well as how to apply glaze to enhance the surfaces of their pieces. Each participant will be encouraged to develop their own creative voice while experimenting with scale, proportion, and detail. By the end of the workshop, students will have completed a series of unique, nature-inspired ceramic pieces that reflect both personal expression and technical skill.
This workshop is open to all levels, and beginners are welcome.
12.5lbs of clay and firings are included in price.
