Unleash your creativity in this fun, beginner-friendly clay workshop and sculpt your very own Highland cow!
Using air-drying clay, you’ll be guided through simple hand-building techniques including shaping, moulding, coiling and adding texture to bring your characterful cow to life. No kiln needed — your finished piece will be ready to take home the very same day.
Perfect for beginners or anyone craving a relaxed, hands-on creative session, this workshop offers step-by-step guidance from Michaela, with plenty of encouragement to add your own personal flair along the way.
All materials are provided — clay, tools, aprons, and a warm, welcoming space. Just bring yourself, a small box to carry your creation home safely, and perhaps a friend to share the experience.
While there won’t be time to paint your piece on the day (it will need time to dry), you’ll be able to see Michaela’s beautifully decorated sample for inspiration. Paints will also be available to purchase for a small additional cost if you’d like to finish your Highland cow at home.
Good to know:
The venue has parking. Upon arrival, park in the car park at the front of the shop. Unload your vehicle into your classroom. Staff will then advise you where to park your car for the day at the rear of the complex.
There is disabled parking and ramps allowing access to all areas. There is a disabled toilet.
Staff will help anyone in need of assistance. Shop on site selling an enormous range of goods relating to crafting: dressmaking, patchwork & quilting, knitting & crochet, sewing machines and furniture.
There is a coffee shop on site called O for Coffee. Attendees at our classes are visited by coffee shop staff regularly throughout the day to take any orders. Anything consumed during your day is sold at a 10% discount. As well as a large choice of hot and cold drinks, the menu comprises savoury choices including sandwiches, paninis, jacket potatoes and soups. For those with a sweet tooth, there is a selection of cakes and scones made in-house with gluten-free and vegan options.
