We're coming to Stellenbosch on 11 October as part of the Toyota Stellenbosch Woordfees to perform our 'Padkos & Polyphony' program. With Hana Yim-Wahl (violin), Waldo Alexander (violin), Tiisetso Mashishi (viola), Viwe Mkizwana (double bass), Peter Auret (drums).
The Scullery Quintet is known for their unique, original arrangements of classical music, jazz and pop that are full of improvisation and contemporary themes. Padkos & Polyphony is a sonic journey that showcases the versatility of classical instruments with new versions of works by legendary composers such as J.S. Bach, Ludwig van Beethoven and Astor Piazzolla, but also jazz and contemporary composers ranging from Abdullah Ibrahim to Britney Spears. A fun production that will make music lovers and the general public tingle with delight.
