About this Event
Have you ever thought about scuba diving or wanted to experience the sensation of being underwater and using a scuba tank? If so, this is the class for you! You will learn in a pool in 4 ft of water or less under the supervision of certified SCUBA dive Instructors. You have the opportunity to see for yourself what it’s like to truly scuba dive. This is not a certification class; however, you can say you tried scuba diving. All equipment is provided, all you do is show up with a swimsuit, towel, and tee shirt. Please bring a lock for the locker room.
This event will have both scheduled classroom and pool components, in which you will learn the following:
Classroom Portion
- Hand Signals
- Communicating underwater
- The equipment used to SCUBA dive
- The effects of Depth and Water Pressure on the body
Pool Portion
- Putting on SCUBA gear and learning the use of gear
- Learning to breathe underwater
- Learning to sit/kneel on the floor of the pool
- Swimming underwater
- Playing Nerf games underwater
