Program Description:
Wooden puzzles are a great way to learn scroll saw basics while creating a unique, handcrafted item perfect for your family or loved ones. In this class students will learn scroll saw safety with proper blade selection, installation, and tension. You will also learn how to transfer a pattern, proper techniques with cutting, blade-entry holes, and table squaring. Students can choose either the cat or koala puzzle for their first project. Once that has been successfully completed (and if time allows) they can complete either a cat, koala, chicken, or a sheep puzzle.
Learning Objectives:
Learn how to transfer and attach/remove patterns on wood stock
Use a drill press to create blade-entry holes
Learn scroll saw safety including blade installation and tension settings
Learn how to adjust your scroll saw table and make it square
Attendance Requirements: Students must attend all days
