Broadsides & Signs with Catherine Royer & Phil DriscollSaturday, December 7th, from 9:30a - 1:00p
Ages: 15+ years old
Popular in the 16th to 19th century England and common in America during the War of Independence, printed broadsides were the social media of their day. Meant to be pasted on walls or handed out on public streets, they were announcements, ads, satirical ballads, or commentary. In printing, "broadside" still describes a large sheet of paper printed on only one side. Time travel with us to print your own using a large movable type and one of our proofing or sign presses. Supplies provided. Come with an idea of what you'd like to print. Beginners or experienced are welcome.
Cost $40
