What happens when great plays meet great conversation (and maybe a glass of wine)? You get Scripts & Sips—a brand-new, interactive series from Reston Community Players that invites you to experience theatre in a whole new way.Part book club, part staged reading, part lively night out, Scripts & Sips brings people together to read, share, and connect over powerful plays—both classic and contemporary. Whether you’re a seasoned theatre lover or just curious, you’ll have a seat at the table (and maybe even a role to read). No memorization, no pressure—just the joy of discovering great stories out loud, together.
Each gathering will feature a guided reading, conversation with fellow participants, and time to enjoy a beverage or light snacks as ideas (and opinions!) flow. It’s theatre as a shared experience—immediate, engaging, and a little bit unpredictable.
