Transfer images into bold, multi-layered prints with screenprinting techniques. Local artist Ann Bartholomeusz will demonstrate how to plan a design, cut paper stencils and pull a print through a mesh screen. Participants will screenprint onto fabric or paper and may choose to explore colour mixing, layering, and different opacities of ink. Working on a small scale, attendees will take home a set of approximately A4-sized prints.
This workshop is suitable for beginners. Participants are welcome to bring their own reference material or draw inspiration from Ann’s collection of images and sample prints. All materials and equipment provided.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Ann Bartholomeusz is an artist and printmaker. She was born in London and lives and practises on Gurambilbarra / Townsville. After studying foundation art at college, Ann went on to graduate at the University of Wolverhampton with an Honours Degree in Fine Art (Printmaking). Exhibiting in group exhibitions since 2005, she had her first solo exhibition in 2021 following a 3-month Artist-in-Residence opportunity. Her work focuses primarily on imagery that reflects her own and other people’s identity and she is interested in the things that make us who we are.
