This event includes a screening of Palestinian director Sabrine Khoury’s short drama “The Miracle of life”, followed by Palestinian director Yousef Srouji’s debut feature “Three Promises”. The evening concludes with a panel discussion featuring the makers of both films.
The evening unites two intimate Palestinian films that explore the meaning of home, memory and motherhood amid displacement and conflict. Through the eyes of mothers and children, we see how memory can be both refuge and burden, how the camera becomes a vessel for grief and for hope. These works invite us to reflect on what remains when the walls of home are no longer steady - what fragments of tenderness and resistance we carry with us wherever we go.
