About this Event

We invite you to join us for the screening of our powerful and investigative short film, ‘Where They Put Us: Traveller Sites and the Legacy of Environmental Racism’ as a part of our Dignity Campaign funded by the Westway Trust.

This urgent film delves into the unacceptable conditions and locations of local authority Traveller sites across the country, with a searing case study on the Stable Way site situated directly underneath the Westway in London.

Follow Irish Traveller Charlie Doherty, as he investigates the legislative history behind these site locations and speaks directly to academics, health practitioners, and Stable Way residents. Together, they uncover the devastating real-world impact of insufficient site provision on communities that have been systematically pushed to the margins.

This event is a critical opportunity to:

· Understand the legacy of environmental racism facing Romani (Gypsy) and Irish Traveller communities.

· Witness the human cost of inadequate policy through the eyes of those living it.

· Learn from experts and community voices about the fight for justice and better living conditions.

Come for the film and stay for a panel discussion with those involved in the putting this important film together
