In small-town Preston, Idaho, awkward teen Napoleon Dynamite (Jon Heder) has trouble fitting in. This SCREEN/PRINT coincides with National Drawing Day and attendees will receive a free poster by illustrator Sam Fred Hinton.Napoleon's family consists of fragile brother Kip (Aaron Ruell), who's seeking his soulmate in online chat rooms; Uncle Rico (Jon Gries), who is stuck in his 'glory' days of high school football; and Grandma (Sandy Martin), who enjoys going out to the dunes on her quad-runner.
When his friend Pedro (Efren Ramirez) decides to run for class president, they must rely on their knowledge of cows, piñatas, and a surprise special talent if they are to defeat the stuck-up Summer Wheatley (Haylie Duff). “Vote for Pedro!”
Part of the Naughton Gallery’s SCREEN/PRINT series in collaboration with QFT and UsFolk. All attendees will receive a specially commissioned Napoleon Dynamite poster created by Exeter-based illustrator Sam Fred Hinton, who is currently exhibiting at the Naughton Gallery as part of the group exhibition, Avant Gardener.
