About this Event
What to Expect:
The experience will be a mix of hands on mixing and graffiti writing and presentations from professional instructors from the area. You will tag your name on a wall, scratch and mix your favorite hits, and interact directly with the instructors to learn more about hip-hop culture. The venue is in the community wing of St Stephen’s Church in Columbia Heights, DC. The entire experience will be about two hours long.
We will provide drinks, with a selection between wine, cider or water. We highlight local spirits distillers and breweries to ground the experience in the DMV (DC, MD, VA). Valid ID will be required, and you must be of legal drinking age to be served alcohol. We will also provide all equipment such as turntables, vinyls, and paint. Because you will be working with paint, plan to wear clothes that you don’t mind getting messy.
FOR ALL AGES:
Guests ages five and up can attend
up to 10 guests total
Parents can bring children under two years of age.
All participants must wear a protective face covering and practice social distancing. Proof of vaccination will also be required.
If you are planning a birthday party or a group larger than 5, contact the organizer before you purchase your tickets to allow us to make special accommodations.
“This was an excellent date event for my girlfriend and I. We were able to tap into our creative side and got an intro into graffiti styles. The graffiti portion was worth the full price to us. We also had fun at the “scratch” section and learned more about vinyl and DJ equipment.”

“This is an engaging, creative experience for out of town guests and locals alike! Mazi was very approachable and communicative when booking this experience. I’ll definitely try other WBL events when I’m back in town!”

“I would give this experience one million stars if I could. We went as a group of seven for a bachelorette party and every one of us had a blast! No one had ever done a similar experience before and it’s a great value as the two hours are packed full! The classroom is in an old church and Mazi met us outside and walked us right to the experience. He treated us to a variety of wines and we learned about graffiti and had time to practice both indoors and outdoors. The DJ portion was awesome and so hands on too! Thank you for providing us with such a fun experience!”
