About this Event
What are the possibilities when an object reaches the 'end' of its life?
SCRAP is adocumentary portrait of the vast and strangely beautiful places where things go to die and meet the people who collect, restore, and recycle the world's scrap. SCRAP scratches beneath flaking paint and rusting metal to reveal the beauty and pathos in the ugliness we leave behind.
Followed by a mini upcycling workshop to inspire us about the beautiful and creative possibilities of reuse.
🎂 This event is part of a series of events to celebrate our first 10 years of sharing (and caring!) at the Edinburgh Tool Library. We're so grateful to have you join us for the celebrations. At ETL, we are proud to give tools their best possible life, helping many diffierent households for hundreds of different projects rather than sometimes a life long of sitting in a cupboard gathering dust! We exist to make sharing, reuse and repair the norm and are excited to be a part of the reuse & repair revolution that sees possibility in what some people might deem as rubbish. Here's to the resourcefulness and creativity of our many upcycling tooligans and to the many more to join us!
