In this playful mixed media class, participants will bring a beetle to life using scraps of fabric, texture, and stitch. We’ll begin by creating a sturdy base using a provided beetle template, then layer on an assortment of colorful fabric scraps to shape the body. Guests can choose to attach their pieces using hand stitching or hot glue, making this class accessible for all skill levels. Once the beetle is built, we’ll add decorative embroidery and details stitches, patterns, and embellishments that turn each beetle into a truly one-of-a-kind art creature. This class is all about intuition, experimentation, and celebrating imperfection. All materials are provided, and participants are welcome to bring special fabric scraps or threads of their own if they’d like. Leave with a whimsical, textured beetle full of personality and creative energy.
