FAQs
What is a clown carousel?
We'll have a few clowns up off the stage at a time. You'll be given a prompt and when the music starts, one will come out, the music stops and they'll clown around until the music plays again and they swap out with another clown. We may have multiple clowns perform together too.
We want to practice being on stage as a clown and acting on impulse, finding out what an audience loves about us and following that.
What do I do with the theme?
It's not a strict theme. The theme will be set broad enough for interpretation, e.g. 'music' could be that you come as a rockstar, a harp, a treble clef, or whatever really.
This is only if you want inspiration. Use it if you like, if you already have a character and want to practice more of that then please do, and if you want to clown purely as yourself then that's also very encouraged.
Bring costumes and props if you like. We will also provide some things if you wish to use them.
How do I perform?
Book a free ticket and come on down! All who get a ticket and come will be able to perform.
Can I just watch as an audience member?
You may! Although I'd recommend coming to our main show, Scramble! as that is set up for audiences and very very fun. However, feel free to come watch some idiot's make fools of themselves.
