About this Event
SUOC 2026 is a collaborative event between the oncological societies of the Universities of Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee, and St Andrews.
Our mission is to make the field of oncology accessible to undergraduates and ignite passion for oncology amongst medical students. We are therefore proud to state that there is no entrance fee for our event.
The conference aims to highlight the work of inspiring researchers and clinicians from the various branches of oncology, as well as provide the opportunity for medical students to present their work in oncological research!
Our conference will include keynote talks and workshops from leading researchers and clinicians within the field of oncology, such as:
- Professor Owen Sansom, Director of the Cancer Research UK Beatson Institute.
- Professor Adeola Olaitan, Consultant Gynaecological Oncologist and Professor of Womens Cancer at University College London.
- Mr Colin Steele, Consultant Colorectal Surgeon, and researcher of advanced colorectal cancer.
- Dr Sophie Barrett, Consultant Medical Oncologist, network lead for breast cancer in the West of Scotland.
- Dr Clare Stephens, Co Clinical Director of North Central London Cancer Alliance, anf Senior Responsible Officer for cancer and diagnostics for NCL.
