Jason Butler is a bonafide wordsmith, a spoken word poet and veteran hiphop MC based in Cornwall. He has headlined poetry stages at festivals and venues across the South West and was a finalist in the national Outspoken Poetry Prize, BBC Urban Music awards and the Glastonbury poetry slam.
His work spans topics from heartfelt and anecdotal to political and the absurd. Also, if asked nicely he’ll merrily weave an improvised verse from thin air. His first collection of poetry “Miscellany of One” was published in 2023.
