About this Event

Spanish Cinema Now + "Premios Goya” - International Screening Series is a special edition of our film program. This project is a collaboration with AECID and the Spanish Film Academy, designed to showcase Spanish cinema by screening films recognized at the Goya Awards. This series will feature three films, aiming to highlight the strength of the Spanish film scene.

Hildegart is conceived and raised by her mother, Aurora, to be the woman of the future, becoming one of the most brilliant minds in 1930s Spain and a European authority on female sexuality. At 18, Hildegart begins to experience freedom and meets Abel Velilla, who helps her explore a new emotional world and break away from her mother’s strict control. Aurora fears losing her hold on her daughter and does everything she can to prevent Hildegart from leaving.

Ticket holders will have access to the event while space is available. A reservation does not guarantee admission.

The best way to arrive is by public transportation. The closest Metro station is Columbia Heights (Green line). Limited metered and two-hour zoned parking is available in the surrounding neighborhoods. Public parking garage is available at DC USA Shopping Mall (Columbia Heights Metro Station).
