About this Event
This one-day seminar will invite up to 20 teachers for an immersive experience that connects classroom science concepts to real-world engineering applications, organized by the Paper Science and Chemical Engineering Department, UW-Stevens Point. Participants explore engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans, learn about engineering career pathways through UWSP, and gain firsthand exposure to the engineering disciplines through laboratory demonstrations and a guided paper machine tour. Industrial speakers will share the Wisconsin manufacturing long-term engineering career opportunities. This event is co-sponsored by the UWSP Paper Science and Chemical Engineering Foundation.
· One 6-hour, on-campus summer seminar on August 4th (Tuesday), 2026
· Provide four hands-on labs and lecture materials integrated with science, math, and engineering.
· Each participating teacher receives a $100 stipend in recognition of their time and commitment.
· Lunch, refreshments and parking provided.
