About this Event
Science on Screen film festival
Love films? Curious about the world we live in? Join us and enjoy popular films with a science twist in one of London’s most unusual cinematic locations.
You’ll also have the chance to hear from leading scientists as they delve into the fascinating themes explored in the films.
Steven Spielberg’s 1993 classic, Jurassic Park, sees a group of scientists visit an island dinosaur theme park. All is not as it seems as chaos soon ensues as the visitors try and find a way off the island.
The screening will begin with a conversation about genetics, palaeontology and the regulation of science.
Speakers include:
- Aurélien Courtois, Developmental biologist, Francis Crick Institute
- Tanya Mikaiel, Biological safety advisor, Francis Crick Institute
- Jack Lovegrove, PhD student, Natural History Museum and University College London
- Chloë Slevin (chair), Science communicator
The event will start promptly at 18:30.
This event is aimed at audiences aged 12 and above.
