Join us for an inspiring one-day dog training seminar with Kiki Yablon on Saturday, April 25, from 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., where science meets clarity and practical application.
This workshop brings together science, clarity, and practical application, with a focus on classical conditioning, a modern approach to loose-leash walking, and the concept of “Clarity.” Whether you share your life with a dog or work professionally in training, you’ll gain new insight and practical skills to bring back to your everyday work.
Kiki will explore what’s really happening when we say we’re using classical conditioning, including what changes when we pair stimuli and how operant learning fits into the picture. She’ll also discuss how to conceptualize your ideal walk, identify the skills you and your dog already have, teach common “missing links,” and adapt those skills to different environments. In her session on “Clarity,” she’ll examine how cues (antecedents) and consequences work together, how cues can signal what’s available in a given moment, and how that understanding can reduce the need to rely on punishment.
Based in Chicago, Kiki Yablon is a dog trainer and educator with a master’s degree in applied behavioral science and 16 years of experience. She serves as faculty for Karen Pryor Academy and teaches behavior science with Dr. Susan Friedman’s Behavior Works.
🐾 A limited number of working dog spots (six total) are available for an additional $50.
Dogs attending as working teams must be comfortable in a seminar environment with other dogs and people present, able to rest for extended periods (including crating onsite), and may not have aggression toward people or other dogs.
To reserve a working spot, please purchase the “Kiki Yablon Event and Working Spot” ticket.
