About this Event
đŹ Welcome to Elk Grove Science CafĂŠ! Held around the world, Science CafĂŠs are monthly conversations that make science accessible for all. While this is geared for adults, all ages are welcome!
â April's topic is Ringtail Ecology and Conservation in California .
đ About our speaker: Kristyn Schulte is an adjunct professor in the Biology Department at Sacramento City College. Like her beloved ringtails, she too is a California native, graduating from Sacramento State with her BS in 2018 and MS in 2023. Her masterâs thesis involved investigating the genetic makeup of ringtail populations in California, a project she is expanding through a State Wildlife Grant with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife. She is raising two wild animals of her own, her children Asa and Alice, with her loving and supportive husband, Robert.
Curiosity sparks. Facts illuminate. Letâs explore science together!
