This event will start in the Parish Church at 10:30am with local schools, Councillors and Legion representatives in attendance. Pupils will receive a welcome from the Mayor of Blandford Forum, Cllr Hugo Mieville, the Mayor's Chaplain and clergy from the Parish Church, followed by an explanation of Armistice - and why we write on the crosses - delivered by Roger Carter.
Pupils will then write the name of a family member or name from the local war memorials before we move to the Churchyard of St Peter and St Paul's Church, for the laying of crosses and a silence at 11:00am.
Refreshments will follow in the Parish Church. Everyone is welcome.
