Come be blessed and be a blessing! We are doing a school supply drive AND we are giving away some backpacks stuffed with school supplies on Sunday the 17th from 3-5pm at UGCC. This is also a time of connection, encouragement and prayer for families going back to school. We have trained volunteers ready to listen to meet you and pray with you as you prepare for another school year. We will have freeze pops and snacks for the kids and coffee or soft drinks for the adults. We are also collecting special school supplies that have been requested through local school counselors. We will be focusing more on the clothes and hygiene items to fill the ongoing need through the year for these items. Here is the list of supplies we will be collecting: Clothes and shoes, all sizes for children up to XL. New undergarments, especially for girls. Tween and teen girl sizes are most needed. Feminine hygiene products. Other hygiene products like deodorant, soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes and toothpaste. Clothes should be in very good condition, clean and folded. Undergarments must be new. Other school supplies for students and teachers are welcomed: Pens, pencils, crayons, paper, notebooks, zip binders, folders, rulers, scissors, tissues, hand sanitizer, etc. Union Grove Christian Church is located at 3985 Old NC HWY 13, Asheboro, NC, 27205.
