About this Event

About This Event:

Get your bookbag sorted before you go back to school! Create and customise your own tote bag to carry your favourite books.

Each child will receive a plain canvas tote bag to transform into their own unique masterpiece! Show off your own style through colour and pattern or try your hand at painting your own characters from your favourite book!

This workshop is suitable for people ages 5-12 years old.

Blackshaw Gould Community Pavillion is located at 34 Dora St, Hurstville, in the Hurstville Oval complex.

Cost: Free.

Age: 5-12 years.

Experience: None required.

Equipment: All materials will be provided, we will be using paint in this event so please wear old clothing or bring your own smock.


Bookings:

This program is being repeated at multiple locations over the duration of the school holidays. Due to the popularity of our programs, please book for one location only. Customers who book for multiple locations will be advised that their spot will be allocated to customers on the waitlist.

Terms and conditions:

  • For participants aged 10 years and under, parents and/or guardians of children must remain in the library for the duration of the program.
  • For participants under the age of 16, parent and/or guardian contact details must be provided at the time of booking.
  • If you arrive more than 10 minutes after the advertised start time and there are people in the standby queue, your ticket may be allocated to the standby queue.
  • If you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration at least 3 hours prior to the event. As Library Programs have limited spaces, repeated failure to notify staff of cancellations may result in bookings being refused in the future.
  • The library does not endorse or promote any products which may be used in the workshop.
