Welcome back to the world of SCHMINDIE — nightlife events that harness the power of music to support, uplift and raise awareness for vital community charities.This time we’re joining forces with the legendary FLOAT YOUR BOAT crew — the masterminds behind some of the most unforgettable house music parties the River Thames has ever seen.
Recently, our community suffered a heart breaking loss. Our dear friend SKID, one of the kindest souls and most vibrant dancers among us, lost his battle with cancer. SKID was someone who completely turned his life around to help others and his passing has left a huge void in our hearts.
In his honour, we’re hosting this special dance-off in support of those who stood by him during his most difficult moments — the incredible team at Florence Nightingale Hospice in Aylesbury. The compassion and care they provide daily is nothing short of inspiring, though it comes with its own challenges.
Now it’s our turn to give back. Let’s show our gratitude and love for everything they did for SKID, and continue to do for so many others.
And to help us take things to an extra special level we’re beyond excited to announce that MELON BOMB will be headlining this very special event — flown in directly from the magical island of Ibiza, just for us.
Melon Bomb are true heavyweights in the house music scene with residencies at iconic venues like Hï, their spiritual home of Pikes Hotel and the legendary Wild Corner take-overs at Glitterbox (our absolute favourite!). And the fact that they’re joining us for this night in honour of SKID and in support of such a worthy cause, makes it all the more powerful.
In the making of this event our community also lost a truly beautiful man and outright legend - Sir Bob Tillin. His presence on our dance floors will never be forgotten and his smiling face unforgettable. You will be forever in our hearts and memories my friend.
This will be a celebration of life.
