Scherenschnitte WorkshopSaturday, April 25, 2026 • 9:00 AM–12:00 PM
Discover the traditional art of Scherenschnitte, a Pennsylvania-German folk art form that dates back to the 18th century. Meaning “scissor cuts” in German, Scherenschnitte involves intricate paper cutting to create delicate and symmetrical designs, often depicting floral motifs, animals, or scenes from everyday life.
Join BHC Museum Curator Amber Vroman for this hands-on workshop, where participants will learn the techniques to create their own beautifully framed cut paper masterpiece. Light refreshments will be provided. This workshop is perfect for both beginners and those with previous experience in paper arts.
