Schenectady Community Champions

Schenectady Community Champions is an evening that brings our community together to recognize leadership rooted in compassion, collaboration, and care. It is a time to pause, reflect, and celebrate the individuals and partnerships that help our neighbors thrive.

Guided by our 2026 theme, Fostering Dignity, the evening highlights what it means to serve and lead with respect, choice, and humanity. Through shared stories and conversation, we explore how dignity shapes meaningful community impact.

The program will honor Rev. Dr. Amaury Tañón-Santos as our 2026 Community Champion and feature a panel discussion with Jennifer Lawrence and Ryan Macherone, whose work reflects the power of collaboration grounded in dignity.

Together, we will celebrate the collective impact made possible by community support and reaffirm our shared commitment to ensuring every neighbor is seen, valued, and supported.
