Join us on June 15th at 7pm for Book Discussion "Shop Class as Soulcraft."
About this Event

We’ll discuss Matthew Crawford’s 2009 bestseller Shop Class as Soulcraft: An Inquiry into the Value of Work. Crawford argues that "hands on" work, manual labor, especially in the skilled trades, provides more satisfaction and intellectual engagement, than much of the abstract knowledge work that so many of us are involved in. Crawford’s book honors and elevates grappling with the world "outside our own heads." Join us on Monday June 15th as we discuss this thought provoking book. Doors open at 6:15pm and the discussion will begin at 7pm.
