About this Event
Scent of Desire - A Pre-Valentine's Day Incense Making Workshop
Get ready to ignite your senses and craft your own dreamy aromas! This Valentine’s season, Wildwood invites you to craft incense designed to awaken connection, warmth, and desire. We'll work with botanicals and resins traditionally used to soften the nervous system, open the heart, and set the tone for intimacy.
During this guided workshop, you’ll create a shared incense blend designed to support attraction, magnetism, and desire, not through force or performance, but by working with scent as atmosphere. We’ll explore how warmth, softness, and subtle heat influence mood and connection, making this a beautiful experience for date night, close friends, or a solo ritual of self-attraction.
We’re especially honored to host The Scent of Desire at TeeLee’s Teahouse & Bookstore in Denver’s historic Five Points neighborhood. TeeLee’s was created as a space that celebrates community, culture, and connection through tea, books, and shared presence, and it carries forward the legacy of local Black-owned literary and cultural spaces in the city. The teahouse was co-founded by Rise Jones and her late husband Louis Freeman, who also helped shape one of Denver’s beloved Black cultural institutions — the Hue-Man Experience Book Store, remembered by community members as a vital gathering spot and home for literature, history, and conversation. Hosting this incense workshop in such a rich, intentional setting — where people have long come together to slow down, connect, and savor the moment — feels deeply aligned with the spirit of the evening we’re creating.
Your ticket includes all incense-making materials, along with teas and pastries provided by TeeLee’s to enjoy during the evening. Come settle in, sip something warm, and take part in a hands-on ritual designed to linger well beyond the night itself.
