Join Scenic Rivers staff for a guided hike of Bacon Ridge Natural Area, your local protected woods, in celebration of Maryland Day 2026! Learn the history of the land as you wind through the trails underneath the canopy of Bacon Ridge and take in the fresh, spring air. Be sure to show off your Maryland pride by wearing your favorite piece of “Maryland merch” on the hike!All ages welcome, but please be aware that we will hike on unpaved trails through woods. Pets on leashes are permitted to join. Length: 2-3 miles.
Meet at the Hawkins Road Trailhead. A Google Pin will be provided upon completing registration.
