Once a year you have the opportunity to take part in a unique Swedish tradition in Toronto. The Swedish Swedish-Canadian Chamber of Commerce invites you to this festive event to start your Holiday Season. We begin with teh sweet warm flavours of Glögg, a mulled wine served with raisins and almonds and of course Gingerbread cookies on the side.
After the Welcome Glögg Reception, we will continue to enjoy the lavish, authentic, and delicious Julbord (Swedish Christmas Smörgåsbord) with over 30 traditional dishes. It is topped off with a few classic Swedish Christmas desserts, such as Ris a la Malta and soft Gingerbread Loaf with Lingonberries. You won't leave this event hungry.
The afternoon will be filled with merriments, the highlight being the visit from the Swedish Childrens' Choir performing the beautiful and atmospheric Lucia procession.
