In the Spring a film fanatic’s fancy lightly turns to thoughts of love, the kind of the screwball comedy variety. Celebrate the season with a classic of the genre! In THEODORA GOES WILD (1936), a small town Sunday school teacher authors a novel so salacious, her own ladies literary circle pressures the local paper to stop printing its installments. She published under a pseudonym, so she safely lives a double life–until her book’s illustrator becomes interested in her. When he follows her back to her hometown, not even he knows what to expect when Theodora goes wild.
