Rules
This is a family friendly event. Scarecrows can be humorous, lovable or whimsical but not frightening or distasteful. The Woman's Club of Medford has the right to reject any and all scarecrows we deem to be offensive and/or inappropriate.
Materials must be firmly attached to the scarecrow so that it can withstand sun, wind and rain.
Scarecrows must be attached to the assigned light pole along Main Street. Assignments are given out on the first Saturday in October at 9:00 AM at the gazebo.
Al entries must be registered and in place by 11:00 AM.
SCARECROWS MUST FACE THE SHOPS AND NOT THE STREET.
Each scarecrow must have a sign to identify the entry (name of group, business, or club) and the category entered. Businesses may include a logo on their sign however no other advertising or political statements are permitted.
All entries are on display through the month of October and are to be dismantled and removed prior to the Halloween Parade.
We recommend that you check on your scarecrow periodically throughout the month to make sure it remains in presentable condition.
