About this Event
Woodcarving has been a vibrant folk art in Scandinavia for over 1,000 years. Learn how to carve in Scandinavian styles through an understanding of wood, tool techniques, sharpening and honing, and more.
After the beginner project we focus on karveskurd (chip carving) or flatskurd (low relief) styles. Whether you are building your own Viking ship or want to make and decorate a hiking cup, we love to help you with your project.
The class meets Sundays at the Swedish Club in Seattle from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. This is an ongoing class series so you can continue your practice at your leisure. Signing up is easy:
- Decide how many classes you want to attend in the month period and choose the corresponding ticket class (1 weekend date, 2 dates, etc.)
- Go through the check-out process and let us know which dates you plan on attending
- Meet us at the Club on your chosen Sunday!
